Never Forget Nationals This Saturday Featuring Comp Cams Late Models

We are back from the Labor Day holiday weekend and this Saturday at the speed plant of the Salina Highbanks Speedway, we are ready to present the Never Forget Nationals featuring the wild and wicked late models of the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS). These powerful beasts of the dirt tracks will vie for a top prize of $9,000 for this special event. In addition to the CCSDS late models, the O’Reilly / NASCAR local series will be in action as well. This weekend is the last night for the weekly racers to earn NASCAR points for the 2026 racing season.
Leading the charge for the Comp Cams late models to the Highbanks is current series point leader Cade Dillard of. Robeline LA. who comes into the event with 7 CCSDS main event wins. Trumann Arkansas pilot Kyle Beard (with one win) sits second in points. Beard was the runner-up in the series in 2022-2023. Timothy Culp of Prattsville AR. is still looking for that first win in 2026 but consistency has him third in points. Cabot AR. shoe Chandler Petty is riding fourth in the standings. Culp did grab a victory in 2025 with the series. Rounding out the top five in points is fan favorite Billy Moyer Sr. who is the reigning series champion and is also the 2020 champion. Moyer has scored a win this season which just adds to his long list of career victories for the Batesville AR. wheelman.
Additional drivers with 2026 CCSDS victories are:
Jonathan Davenport of Blairsville GA. with 2 wins, both coming during a doubleheader weekend back in May. Single triumphs are from drivers Morgan Bagley of Longview TX. (Bagley was the points runner-up in 2024-2025), Scott Criger from Alton MO., local stand out Eli Ross of nearby Muskogee OK. and the most recent victory lane visitor for the series, Neil Baggett of Columbus LA. Other recent series champions include: Logan Martin of West Plains MO (2024), Billy Moyer Jr. of Batesville AR. (2023) and Brian Rickman (2022) There will be a slew of high quality race teams hitting the banks this weekend so look for the action to be fast & furious.
Dawson Roofing B-mods, Ameri-Flex Hose factory stocks, S&J Plumbing pure stocks and Colvin Aircraft Tuners and Interceptors are the classes that will be running for their final NASCAR points of 2026. The NASCAR Division-1 class is a barn burner as 8 drivers around the country are within 30 points of each other. Mitch Keeter of Webb City MO. has flirted with the top spot off and on all year and is currently 6th in points but only a scant 18 points back. Joey Tanner of Portland Oregon is the points leader for Division-1. William Avila of Moore OK. Leads the Division-4 group by 60 points over Luke Bouma of Hudsonville MI. And Siloam Springs AR. driver Austin Gammill has an 82 point lead over Brent Cave of Brighton CO. in Division-5.

Two weeks from this Saturday, it will be the special Tim Chainey Trucking $10,000 to win Interceptor race. Due to the special megabucks payout, no track points will be awarded for the interceptors however, all other classes will be running for track points on this program. This is going to be really something. If you think they bang a few doors on the Highbanks on a regular race night, just wait till this one comes around!

Local fan fave Joe Duvall was injured in a work related accident recently and is currently working his way back to better health. He has a ways to go and we ask that everyone say a prayer for Joe and we look forward to the day he his back at the track with us. The Joe Duvall Funkadelic Dirt Track and H***y Tonk Extravaganza is still on to close the 2026 season and that will take place on October 24th. USRA American Racer Modified Series and the USRA Heartland Modified Tour team up for a cool modified special. We are very hopeful Mr. Duvall can make it regardless if he is racing or not.
