📣 We're making some major improvements to the Provo River Trail! 📣

Starting next week on October 26, both Columbia Lane and the River Trail under it will be closed as the trail is widened and ADA and safety upgrades are made. At the same time, Public Works will be putting in a new sewer line and drinking water line to improve the aging infrastucture.

🚧 Watch for the detour signs and changing conditions around the area 🚧

TRAIL CLOSURE: Utah County is repaving a section of the Provo River Trail which requires a closure until October 31. The sections being paved are 1/2 mile between Geneva Road and Lakeshore Drive, and 1.4 miles on the old river channel between Lakeview Parkway and Utah Lake State Park.

We are excited for the Fort Utah improvements project to begin on Tuesday, September 8!

Please note that the parking lot and skate park will be closed during construction. The parking lot will be completed in Spring of 2027 with the full project finishing in Summer of 2027.

The project will include:
• All Wheels Park🚲🛴🦽🛼
• New Restrooms 🚻
• New Pavilions
• New Playground 🛝
• Expanded Parking Lot 🚙

Fall sports programming should use the temporary parking lot accessed from 1810 W 150 N.

We spoke with local muralist Chris Peterson about his recent work on the mural at our new 820 N Bridge 🎨 This amazing mural is the first of many we hope to complete in the coming years as part of the Provo River Trail Mural Art Program 🫟
