What an incredible season it has been for Utah Adult Baseball! From thrilling matchups to unforgettable moments on the diamond, this year’s tournament brought out the best in every team.

A special congratulations to the Benchwarmers, who emerged as the 2024 champions! Their hard work, determination, and team spirit were on full display as they battled their way through the tournament, finishing with an impressive victory to claim the title.

Thank you to all the teams, players, and fans who made this season one for the books. Here’s to more great baseball ahead! ⚾️

**Weekly Roundup: Exciting Games and Stellar Performances!**

This week’s matchups brought thrilling action and unforgettable moments on the field! Here’s a recap of all the scores and highlights:

**Cardinals vs. Beach Bombs: 9-8 Beach Bombs**
Corbin Johnson delivered a stellar performance on the mound, pitching 8 solid innings to secure the win for the Beach Bombs.

**Green Light vs. Redbirds: 11-9 Redbirds**
The Redbirds staged an impressive comeback from a 9-1 deficit to beat Green Light as the time limit expired. Adjusting to Green Light’s off-speed pitching, the Redbirds capitalized on walks and timely hits. Despite some controversial umpire calls, their late-game pitching held strong, sealing the victory.

**Kings vs. Sharks: 9-12 Sharks**
The Sharks’ defense shone with two clutch double plays, while Jackson was unstoppable, reaching base in every appearance.

**Benchwarmers vs. Mustangs: 16-4 Benchwarmers**
Skyler Millet had a standout game, going 2-4 with a triple and a grand slam, racking up 7 RBIs in a commanding win for the Benchwarmers.

**Los Bombis vs. Outlaws: 18-17 Los Bombis**
In a high-scoring thriller, Zach Cochran struck out 5 in 2 1/3 innings. Brady was perfect at the plate, going 5-5. Dallin Andrus’s 2-out RBI single in the top of the last inning clinched the win, and Stockton Knotts closed the game with 2 strikeouts.

**Green Light vs. Sharks: 10-6 Green Light**
Chris Broadbent’s late game home run wasn’t enough for the Sharks to get it done as Green Light emerged victorious.

**Brew Crew vs. Swingers: 12-15 Swingers**
In a hard-fought game, the Brew Crew fell short to the Swingers.

🔥 **Brew Crew vs. Outlaws: Brew Crew win 12-2**
Colby Ford dominated on the mound, pitching six innings with eight strikeouts and allowing only one run. The Brew Crew turned a close game around with a five-run burst in the sixth inning. A relentless barrage of hits continued until the 10-run rule ended the game in the eighth inning. 💪⚾

🔥 **Red Birds vs. Beach Bombs: Red Birds win 11-4**
The Red Birds soared past the Beach Bombs with a commanding 11-4 victory. The Red Birds’ offense was on fire, consistently putting runs on the board and maintaining their lead throughout the game. 🚀🧨

🔥 **Sharks vs. Benchwarmers: Sharks win 11-8**
In a thrilling comeback, the Sharks defeated the Benchwarmers 11-8. Heading into the final inning, the Benchwarmers were up 8-6. James Leach tied it up with a clutch two-run single, and Chris Broadbent sealed the win with a three-run home run into the trees. He then came in to close it out on a 1,2,3 inning. Jayden Hamblin was unstoppable, reaching base in every appearance including an RBI triple. 🦈💥

🔥 **Mustangs vs. Swingers: Mustangs win 9-4**
The Mustangs charged to victory against the Swingers with a 9-4 win. Mason Donadio pitched a complete game, striking out six in the final two innings. The Mustangs’ flawless defense played a crucial role, going the entire game without an error. 🐎⚡

🔥 **Greenlight vs. Cardinals: Cardinals win 16-11**
In a high-scoring battle, the Cardinals outlasted Greenlight with a 16-11 win. Andrew Powell was a force on the mound, pitching four innings, allowing just one run, and striking out six. Nathan was a key contributor, reaching base five times and scoring four runs. 🐦🏅

- **Outlaws vs. Beach Bombs:** Beach Bombs stage a comeback after the Outlaws’ grand slam, winning 10-9 with Caleb Simpson’s walk-off double. 🏆

- **Cardinals vs. Redbirds:** Tied at 7-7, the Redbirds pull ahead, scoring 3 in the last two innings for a 10-7 victory. 🦅

**Saturday Showdowns:**

- **Redbirds vs. Outlaws:** Redbirds rally in the 8th inning for a 10-9 win. 💥

Last Wednesday, Los Bombis were welcomed to the league in Spanish Fork, facing off against the Sharks! Both teams played hard, leaving it all on the field.

Player of the game went to James Leach who pitched a complete game, with no earned runs and 13 strikeouts! 🔥

Final Score: 7-4 Sharks 🦈
