Captain Bob Schnitzer has been an avid salt water fisherman since the early 1970s. He began his fishing days as a surfcaster, fishing the beaches from North Carolina to Cape Cod. In the early 1980s he fished on a commercial gill net boat in the Florida Keys for Spanish Mackerel and Kingfish. Also in the 1980s, Captain Bob worked aboard the sportfishing boat "Shady Lady" out of Provincetown as a ma
te for local legend Captain Manny Phillips. Ironically, the "Emmalynn" is now docked in the same location the "Shady Lady" occupied for decades, right along side the sailing schooner, "Bay Lady". Bob purchased his first charter boat "Emmalynn" in 2004. She was a green hulled Nauset 27, named for his first grandaughter, Emmalynn. Bob recently upgraded to a Nauset 35 and decided to name his new boat the same; "Emmalynn". She was purchased in June of 2014 in Beaufort, NC. Captain Bob and family piloted her through the Intracoastal Waterway in NC and Virginia, hitting ports along the way such as; Coinjock, NC, Norfolk, VA, Ocean City MD, Manasquan, NJ, Black Rock CT, Point Judith, RI, and finally, Provincetown, all over the course of 6 days. The trip is testament to the capability of Capt. Bob's sea experience as a mariner and a licensed Captain, and to the capabilities and comforts of the Nauset 35'. She is a stable, smooth riding vessel which boasts twin Detroit Diesels for speed and safety. True to the craftsmanship of the Nauset boat builders, the Emmalynn is appointed with a beautiful and comfortable interior. A large salon, galley, v-berth and head, make her comfortable for cruising, fishing, sightseeing, whale watching, seal watching, a picnic, an overnight trip, access to a remote beach, viewing light houses, weddings, funerals, proposals, or just a harbor tour. Captain Bob and wife Mary, are very knowledgeable in local history, as they were both Tour Guides for years with Art's Dune Tours in Provinetown. Give Capt. Bob a call to book a charter that many have made yearly traditions as repeat guests.
