Congratulations to John Drohen of Alpine Country Club for winning the 68th RI Senior Amateur State title at Triggs.
Drohen finished the 36 hole event at 5-under par, three shots clear of Rick Angeli of Potowomut, Rob Grossguth of West Warwick CC and Brian O’Leary of Pawtucket CC.
Grossguth did win the Super Senior title.
Triggs member, Frank Glancy won the Legends division at 4-over par.
The players all raved about the course conditions.
