Today I woke and thoughts let’s keep it light today. So I went to First Landing State Park, 64th St entrance and took Long Creek Trail to Osprey Trail. Only 4.5 miles this morning but the little brown colored triangle shaped wing biting flies made me turn around. I suspect they were attesting my bug spray.

Today’s adventure took me to Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge where I trekked to False Cape State Park. I made new friends on the path -NOT ( see pics). False Cape is only acceptable on foot or by water. 8+ mile round trip. Nice weather for it. Next time I might try walking the extra 7 miles to North Carolina.

Max and I walked 5 miles at Belle Creek State Park near Warsaw, VA. It was warm but walking the wooded trail really help...

Max and I walked 5 miles at Belle Creek State Park near Warsaw, VA. It was warm but walking the wooded trail really helped. They have a small beach area and a kayak launch and boat launch. A nice getaway a little more than a hour’s drive. Mostly easy trails. 🥾
