Congratulations to the newest New Miner Training graduates from PA. These individuals completed a 6 week hands on training in the MTTC's simulated training facility. Interested employers should contact the MTTC now to review applicants and schedule interviews.

Congratulation to the winners of the inaugural Nationwide Skills Competition held at The Mining Technology and Training Center at Ruff Creek, PA. In Division 1, third place went to Marion Center #1, second place went to Mountain Laurel Green, and first place went to Riverton White. In Division 2, third place went to Enlow Fork, second place went to Cumberland JC, and first place went to Rock Spring Blue.

Congratulations to last weeks PA Mine Rescue Skills Competition winners. The first 3 teams from each the Division 1 and Division 2 competitors will compete in the First Annual Nationwide Mine Rescue Skills Contest in October in Ruff Creek, PA.

Other scheduled events are another Regional Contest May 12 & 13 at the MSHA Academy, Beaver, WV and the Nationwide Mine Rescue Skills Contest is October 5 & 6. *Must compete in Regional to make it to Nationwide*
