Greiner Family Cross Country Course
The teams hit the road this weekend, traveling north to the campus of Oklahoma State University. OSU is home to Greiner Family Cross Country Course; a dedicated and manicured premier course that has hosted collegiate conference, regional and national meets. The wide paths allow for large fields to race without jockeying for position. The course is full of both rolling and short, steep hills to challenge even the fittest. It is easily the most gorgeous course on which most of these athletes will ever have the opportunity to compete.
After multiple weather delays and two college races, the large school boys finally raced at 10:45. In a highly competitive field, the boys placed 20th out of 39 teams. Jacob Nally (36th), Kevin Glover (72nd) and Clay Keefe (88th) were the top finishers on the boys team. A majority of the boys either ran a PR or ran faster than their 2025 time at the same meet.
The girls team, led by Taylor Peck (2nd) and Maggie Breitenstein (9th), placed 4th out of 36 teams in the large school division. Callie Ray, Hazyl Harding, and Bayley Smith rounded out the top five for the Eagles. Nearly all of the girls ran significantly faster than last year as well.
The teams also got to watch two former Prosper runners compete in the women’s collegiate race: Aubrey O’Connell for OSU and Alivia Spangler for UCA.
The teams are schedule to compete at the Jesuit Classic at Oak Point on Saturday, 10/3. This will be their last meet ahead of the District Meet on 10/16.
