Forest Lake 7A female Varsity shooters took 3rd and 4th place this year at Alexandria. Hattie Schmidt placed 3rd and Skylar Carpenter placed 4th. In a sport that has been mostly been dominated by boys these are just two examples of girls holding their own. Congratulations! Loved watching you shoot. Their team placed 1st as well. Hattie's score helped clinch that. Way to go girl! Good luck Friday in Prior Lake at team state!

It was an exciting day on Sunday in Alexandria for the Minnesota Trap Shooting Championship.

There was over 350 schools, close to 8,000 students, over 9 days that competed in this annual tournament.

- The Rangers took 1st as a team for Class 7A!!!
- Tony Airhart & Lane Klostermann both shot a
perfect score of 100!!!
- They tied for first place so they had a shoot off
with Lane winning the shoot off 20 to 19. It was
something to watch! Way to go, boys!!
- Lane took first, and Tony second for Varsity Male.
- it was the first time the tournament has had 2
people from the same team compete in a shoot
off.
- Our girls Hattie Schmidt and Skylar Carpenter
took 3rd & 4th place for High Gun Varsity Female
along Ryan Reinhardt placing 4th for High Gun
Varsity Male, and Joseph Zerwas placed 4th for
High Gun JV Male.
- We had amazing weather, a great cookout, and a
super fun & exciting day!

Way to go Rangers!!! We look forward to cheering you on at the State finals on Friday.

State shooter reminder:

Reminder to the team. If you are signed up for the state shoot up in Alexandria sunday the 21st. ( this sunday). The opening ceremonies start at 7 am sharp. remember to dress for the weather, and wear your uniform. Also remember the boosters will be making burgers for lunch. if you haven’t already signed up to bring something to share check earlier posts for the sign up.
