2021 State tourney is going to begin this Saturday the 14th for the Mariners who will be facing off against the Jordan Millers. Game is at Hanska winner plays the winner of #2 St Peter or #15 Eden Prairie.
Prior Lake faced off with Jordan in July and came away with a 9-6 win.
"We were given the 10 seed and Jordan the 7th seed, both I think should have been higher but in the end we just want to play ball, hopefully we can get off to a good start with Jordan!" Says Player/Mgr Billy gabler

Mariners wrap up the regular season with come-from-behind Win over Eden Praire. DOWN 0-6 the Mariners started chipping away at the lead while giving up no runs after the 3rd inning. "Everyone contributed, wink & Slinde pitched well despite some early defensive errors that accounted for most of the runs scored- thankfully we made up for it at the plate which is what has to happen if you're going to boot the ball around," say Player/Mgr. Billy Gabler goes on to say

"It was a fun game!"
Player of the Game" goes to Jaime Gonzalez for his key play at shortstop to home plate and his 3 hits on offense.
Runner-up goes to pitchers: Wink and Slinde for being gritty and pitching through some early poor defensive play.

2nd Runner-up goes to the Mariner offense for showing the moxy and grit to come back from a 0-6 deficit.

UPCOMING:

1st Round of State in Alexandria at 4pm Sat. August 15th vs Menaga.
2nd Round Gsme Sunday in either FF or Urbank
Both weekends will be in Alexandria and surrounding towns Urbank & Fergus Falls

Mariners take on The Minnetonka Millers at Big Willow and come away with a nice 9-7 WIN. "I knew the team needed the runs so I went up to the plate thinking DINGER and that's what I did-ride me boys I've got BIG SHOULDERS" Says Mike Hess about his late game heroics.

Defenselively, sub par but thankfully our hitting made up for it.

Gabler was gritty and went the distance for the Iron 9 Mariners
