Beneath every gi is an individual with a unique story. Meet Adam Mack--an original co-founder of Prineville Jiu-Jitsu, Prineville's first and onlv dedicated Jiu-Jitsu and MMA gym. Adam has helped build far more than a place to train; he has helped create a community founded on discipline, resilience, service, and character. His story is an extraordinary foundation for introducing the people behind Prineville Jiu-Jitsu--not merely as owners and coaches, but as members of our community whose character off the mat reflects everything they teach on it
Adam is also one of the many unsung heroes of our wildland firefighting community, having worked alongside fire crews in various capacities since 2008 This spectacular photo was taken during the 2026 Grasshopper Fire near Mt Hood, where Adam served on a falling module--removing dangerously burned and damaged timber to reduce the risk to crews working behind him. He also operates Remote Access Medical providing Rapid Extraction Module Support and specialized emergency care for crews working in remote, rugged terrain. Whether he is helping build skilled fighters on the mats or helping protect firefighters in the field, Adam's work is rooted in the same principles: preparation, discipline, service, and remaining steady when circumstances are anything but.
