🎯REGISTRATION ENDS JAN. 5 for the Indoor Combined Events National Championships, and we're all excited to see this M60-64 rivalry in Kenosha!

"When I joined the world of Masters multi-events in 2021, I began to hear about the legend of Sir Dolf Berle. I saw intimidating images of him with his warrior helmet, cleverly disguised by topping it with a rubber ducky. Always fear a man who is not afraid to adorn a rubber ducky.
It was a very hot week in 2022 at Worlds in Finland when I finally had the opportunity to meet my new idol – a Harvard educated CEO and world-renowned masters athlete. We would be going head-to-head in the 55-59 group and jointly representing the great USA. Warming up the day before the meet, we became friends, and I looked forward to the wisdom I would gain competing alongside Dolf.
Unfortunately, my event came to a quick end with a severe hamstring tear in the long jump, which rendered me as a cheerleader for Dolf. It was a thrill to see him place 4th on the world stage, against incredible international competitors. He represented us so well.
After a few years of cordial encouragement and admiration, we would line up against each other again in the summer of 2025 when I turned 60. We split the wins last summer, with Dolf amazingly winning the pentathlon at nationals by ONE POINT! Who does that? That burned and made for a great laugh between us.
When Dolf graciously came to Charlottesville for the Decathlon in August, the battle reignited, and I was able to even the fight with a win on a strong Day 2.
It is so inspiring to have a great friend and incredible athlete who will always bring his best at every meet and top it off by sharing delicious bundt cakes with everyone he beats. Let’s keep this going for decades to come!"
