Yesterday was another incredible day on the platform for Dom! He went 6 for 6, PR’d his sn**ch, clean and jerk and total, and qualified for youth nationals!

Thank you Mike Choi and DC Weightlifting Club for putting on a fantastic Cap City Open with a super cool livestream for the socially distanced spectators tuning in from home. We also appreciate you doing all this two weekends in a row to allow us to spread out and feel safe while still enjoying a normal meet experience.

I am so proud of this young man right here! After nearly a year of training at home via Zoom, Dom returned to the competition platform and absolutely CRUSHED IT with a 6 for 6 performance at the Rosedale Open yesterday. On both lifts, he hit competition PRs on his second attempts and lifetime PRs on his third.

Dom faced adversity and came into the meet with confidence and a positive attitude. He is such a joy to coach. On to the next goal! 💪🏼
