On Tuesday, May 26th the Palmyra-Eagle Panthers hosted the D3 Regional 4D Track Meet. The Panthers hosted 12 schools for the event, with the top 4 finishers in each event qualifying to move on to Sectionals this Friday.
The Panthers girls as a team finished 3rd overall with 94.5 points. The Panthers boys finished 9th with 14 points. The girls found success early and often throughout the meets with a total of 7 individuals qualifying, and all 4 relays, qualifying for Sectionals. The boys found themselves on the outside looking in, with multiple 5th place finishes.
For the boys, Senior LJ Kollaszar finished 5th in the Shot Put with a season best throw of 40-4.25in and 7th in the Discus with a throw of 105-07 in. Senior LQ McDonald had multiple 5th place finishes on the night in the 200m dash and the 400m dash- with a new best time of 58.98, good for a 1+ second PR. LQ started out his night with a personal best time in the 100m dash, to finish 9th with a time of 12.51.
Both boys have been able to accomplish so much in the short two years they have been part of the high school program, and will be missed as they both turn to graduation and their futures after high school.
The girls team had the early success they have had all season and added events to try to score and qualify in as many events as possible. There were multiple Regionals Champions for the Panthers Girls on the track!!
To start the day, Freshman Alexandria Saffarini placed 1st in the Long Jump with a full foot, personal best jump of 15-4.5in. Junior Bailey LeRoy followed suit with a 1st place run in the 100m hurdles with a time of 17.34s.
The girls 4x200m relay made up by Bailey LeRoy, Madison Roy, Alexandria Saffarini, and Chloe Warner, ran their way to a 14s victory to claim their Regional Championship, with a new season best time of 1:52.08.
The girls 4x100m relay ran their own season best time, ran by Sara Tucker, Madison Roy, Kaylee Lebanowski, and Katie Cowsert, in a time of 55.42s, for their own Regional Championship.

Kaylee Lebanowski- Triple Jump, 29-2.5, 4th place
Alexandria Saffarini- 200m dash, 28.2, 4th place

The Panthers girls are back in action on Friday, May 29th at Horicon High School with the hopes of competing at State next weekend.
