Rum River Outlaw Grass Drags, Princeton MN The Outlaw Grass Drags event is a huge snowmobiling drag racing event hosted every year in August.

We also have a large swap meet, vendors, food and beverages, and kid racing.

WOW what a weekend! Even with over an inch of rain on Saturday morning, we were able to get a full race completed before dark. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this event unforgettable:
• Racers – Your skill, speed, and sportsmanship lit up the track and kept the adrenaline pumping all day long.
• Spectators – Your energy and cheers brought the atmosphere to life. We loved seeing families, friends, and fans enjoying the action.
• Vendors – Thank you for keeping us fueled and geared up.
• Swappers – You brought the spirit of community and adventure, sharing stories, gear, and good vibes.
Whether you came to compete, connect, or just soak in fun, we’re grateful you chose to spend your time with us. Here's to more throttle and more memories ahead!
All proceeds from this event go back into the Rum River snowmobile trail system. So, when you support this event, you support the maintenance of our trails. So be sure to check our snowmobile trails this winter!
We hope to see all of you next year – August 27 & 28, 2027!

UPDATE at 12:00- track is uncovered. A little maintenance is needed. Estimating racing will start in a couple hours.

Well what would the Outlaws be without a little rain? Tarps are coming off! We are still planning on racing today! Rain should be done for the day. Come on out for an afternoon of racing, swapping, vendor sales, lunch and a good time!

Today we were honored to receive The Jimmy McHugh Memorial Award for Excellence in Promoting Snowmobile Grass Drag Racing. We can't thank Jimmy McHugh's wife and Super Sled Online enough for this incredible award honoring Jimmy's legacy as a race promoter and drag racer. It takes an army of incredible volunteers from all our amazing clubs to pull off this event every year. Thank you so much!
