ATTENTION TRACK COACHES NEEDED!!!!!!

Logan Families -

We hope that everyone is doing well and staying healthy. The purpose of this email is to express the need for a head track and field coach at Logan Junior High School for this spring. The season is rapidly approaching, and we have not received any interest for the position. If you or someone you know may be interested in serving in this role, please reach out to Scott Daly, Assistant Principal/Athletic Director, at [email protected]. We are looking for someone who has a background in track and field and can fill the needs of this head coaching position. Unfortunately, if we do not have any viable candidates by Friday, March 7th, we will need to cancel the junior high track and field season.

In March we posted about wanting to fundraise for new canopies for our track and field team. The Princeton community near and far jumped to the challenge and sent money via checks, cash, and venmo to Logan Jr. High on our behalf.

We were able to purchase not only the canopy tents and sandbags but also side walls and tarps for the canopies, a cooler for waters and snacks, 8 oversized umbrellas for rainy and sunny meets to protect athletes, two wagons to transport gear, two toolboxes to cart all of our shot puts, discuses, batons, tape measures, and extra track spikes, storage supplies, 8 new tape measures, first aide supplies, and more!

🦁💛🙌🏻A huge shoutout to Heartland Bank & Trust Co. and Norman & Sons! Both companies donated our full original request to cover the costs for the canopies! Thank you to Heartland Bank and Norman & Sons!!🤗💙🦁

🙌🏻With the amazing donations from these two companies and the extra donations from family, friends, and fans, we were able to fully fund all of our supplies and leave extra money for next years funding!!🙌🏻

💙Another shout out to Gwyn Giaquinto who created our Logan Lions art for our canopy top! She donated the funding and time to print the materials and label our tents!! Thank you Gwyn!!💛

🙌🏻🤩CHECK US OUT!! It was amazing to see our big blue tents on the hill at sectionals in Eureka!!! It was a hot, hot day and we had the perfect shade for our athletes who were there for 9+ hours!!!☀️🙌🏻

Also, we were so excited to use this newly painted wall by Mr. Matlick as our backdrop for our photo in the gym at Logan! Way to go Mr. Matlick! Always amazing!!!!

Thank you to the Princeton Elementary Board of Education and Logan Jr. High Administration for recognizing our state track athletes at the May board meeting! We were also able to talk about the amazing wins over the season by all 4 of our teams! We are so proud of these athletes who made it to state but also so overjoyed with the progress and personal records that all athletes made this season!
