As a Holistic Health Coach, my focus is on the care mom and the baby.

* My goal is to provide you with personalized nutrition recommendations for recovery from childbirth.

* During our first onboarding call. the focus is on your nutrition and wellness. Nutrition concerns are not included only as a brief side note, as sometimes happens in conversations with other medical providers.

* I also provide you with information on eating a balanced and supportive diet to help you feel better and recover.

* We also focus on the importance of sleep during this time since we are often low on energy due to fatigue from delivery and lack of sleep.

A Holistic Health Coach can help you think through meal plans and/or snacks that will be easy, balanced, and satisfying when you’re short on time and energy.

But what is healthy?
What is confidence?
What do you actually struggle with?
Do you pick yourself apart no matter how much you try to set this example?
Do you have the mindset to follow through on your self care habits? (No I’m not talking about eating veggies, that’s the least of my worries).

There is more to your goals than a set a macros and b***y bands are going to give.

There is more to your goals than fasting and quitting pop.

There is more to you than what you even realize. And to model that to them you must do the work on yourself...not just the physical work... The mindset work. So you can lead by example. Because we all know kids don’t listen to us- they watch what we do.. then the question becomes this: if in 15 years your kids had your exact habits, mindset and health would you feel proud? Or would you feel sad?

In order to truly close these gaps, you need to try something different.

Something that’s actually a long term approach instead of a short term, scale based, quick fix.

Something that shows you how to rely on yourself instead of relying on whatever thing you just bought to “fix” your “weight problem.”
Because that weight problem is just a symptom of something deeper going on with you. And that’s why the detoxes, green tea pills, protein shakes and clean eating hasn’t worked.

If you’re ready for something different, that’s what I do.

"I don't have time."

Listen I get it- You're running kids everywhere, you're juggling appointments and practices, you've got work and laundry. And you've tried cutting out fast food and pizza...you've done the dietes. Nothing lasts. You're exhausted. Plus you work your but off so the last thing you truly want to do is cut out the foods or drinks you enjoy. You squeeze a few workouts in where you can but you truly don't feel good and you know you need a change...the question is HOW?!

This is one of the most popular conclusions drawn by the women I've coached and the women I talk to about their health and weight loss goals. They feel rushed, they feel overwhelmed by their schedules and health information and they feel like they couldn't fit another thing in. They feel like they don't have time- and they've started to realize that the restriction of diets isn't sustainable, in fact it just plain sucks!

Here's the deal- your hormones are out of whack from years of being so busy, your energy levels are tanked from the stress on your metabolism and you feel more overwhelmed and overstimulated the longer all of this goes on. 7 Benefits of Pregnancy Massage:

1. IMPROVED SLEEP QUALITY
Deep tissue massage helps the increased production of melatonin hormone and serotonin compound in the body. As a result, people get to have their sleep rhythms regulated. When a pregnant woman receives a massage, it improves the quality of her sleep which promotes a good overall effect on the body.

2.LOWERS STRESS AND ANXIETY LEVELS
Cortisol is referred to as the stress hormone. When a pregnant woman is introduced to massage therapy as part of prenatal care, the level of cortisol in her body is reduced significantly. This lets her experience good hormones that have been known to improve mood, vitality, and immunity.

3. LESSENS SWELLING OF JOINTS
Oedema is a medical term used for swelling. It is a common occurrence during pregnancy, and is caused by low circulation and extra pressure on the blood vessels. In order to stimulate the soft tissues and lower the buildup of fluids in swollen joints, deep tissue massage is recommended for pregnant women. At the same time, massage is able to improve the lymph system's ability to remove tissue waste in the body.

4.ALLEVIATES MUSCLE PAIN AND CRAMPS
Pregnant women also commonly experience muscle pain and cramps. These discomforts usually occur due to muscular tension and heightened motor neuron activity. With the help of a specialist experienced in pregnancy massage, these can be greatly reduced.

5.REDUCES NERVE PAIN
A number of women experience sciatic nerve pain, especially in the late stages of their pregnancy. This is because their uterus rests on the muscles in the lower back and pelvic floor. When this happens, the pressure extends tension to the upper and lower leg muscles which result in swelling in these areas. Thankfully we offer prenatal care therapy, mothers are able to get the help they need in releasing the tension they feel in nearby muscles. Through massage, women get to experience less sciatic nerve pain throughout their pregnancy.

6.LOWERS RISK OF PREMATURE BIRTH
Studies have shown that pregnant mothers who regularly received prenatal massage therapy were LESS LIKELY TO ENCOUNTER A PREMATURE BIRTH as compared to women who did not get a massage throughout their pregnancy.

7.REDUCES THE BABY’S STRESS HORMONES
Apart from helping the pregnant mother, massage also lowers the stress hormones in the baby. Research has shown that massage plays a vital factor in raising the baby's cortisol levels even if they are still inside their mother's womb. Because of this, it is safe to say that mothers aren't the only ones who receive the health benefits of pregnancy massage.

🔘 Dancing 💃🏿⁠
🔘 Yoga 🧘🏻‍♀️⁠
🔘 Indoor Biking 🚴🏼‍♀️⁠

This is not an exhaustive list of safe movements, rather just a place to start. ⁠

👉🏼 If you choose to have movement as a part of your routine, it's best to focus on exercises that don't put you at risk of fall or injury like team sports or heavy lifting. ⁠

The most important tip when it comes to safe movement is: LISTEN TO YOUR BODY. ⁠

Remember to only do what you are comfortable with and consult your healthcare provider before beginning movement.
