Caspersen Rowing Center Athletes also had a great weekend on the international scene with the National Team Athletes winning 6 Gold Medals and 5 Silver Medals at the World Rowing World Rowing Cup II in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.

The USA left World Rowing Cup II in Plovdiv top of the medal table with six gold and five silver medals, after a day of fast racing with four World Rowing Cup best times set. To recap the USRowing Youth Nationals, the Mercer Junior Program qualified 9 boats for the championship. All 9 boats finish in the top 14 in the country, 4 of them in the top 10 and 2 in the top 5. A great showing for Mercer.

Thank you to all of the athletes both those that competed in Sarasota and those at home who pushed them to get there, the parents and our coaching staff especially Jamie Hamp, Matt Grau, Brian Price, Emma Paxton, Mike Hurley, Rachel Mumau and all of the other coaches.
