Sadly, at this point I still have only received 2 entries. Where usually I would have about 20-30 on the sheet.
I am going to cancel the ride and hope for a better turnout next year.
I will strongly encourage those who pondered attending Prater to enter Battle of the Flatlands. It’s a week before mine, a multi-day so Sept 5-7 and you get 3 beautiful days of xlnt riding for 1 tank of fuel. It’s cost efficient. Ride safe and be happy!

Well, I’m almost down to the wire where permits, awards, and some pretty hefty fees must be paid before 8-15. At this time we have 2 entries, and a handful of verbal commitments of attendance. I will wait until 8-10 if we don’t have a sufficient entries to at least break even we will have to cancel.

We are going to make this easier, as it seems there was some confusion. Instead of just sending me your horse and rider info via email, please use this form when sending your check. You can print it out and mail with your check, to 25091 Goodhope rd Athol Idaho 83801, or if you don’t have a printer you can just email it back to me, but you still have to send the check. Remember 40 riders is what is needed to break even.
I appreciate your patience and continued patronage for Prater Mountain Endurance Ride.

Hello Everyone, Wow what a year so far! First I want to thank everyone for their patience for me being absent. We have had a lot of family health and financial issues to deal with. So please have faith. We are moving forward!

Here are my concerns, with the rising cost of EVERYTHING I am going to keep ride entries affordable at $130 each for both the 50 and 25 mile ride and $50 for the trail/intro. The usual discounts will apply as well. 1/2 off for reciprocating RM, $5 off PNER members. 16 and under in the endurance ride still ride free. Thank you to the Mary and Anna fund!

This years Prater registration will be as follows. No JotForm. You message or email me ([email protected] please put PRATER in the subject line) all your info horse, AERC, PNER numbers etc. Then mail $20 non-refundable payable to Tara Walker, to hold your spot and bring cash for the balance of your ride entry upon arriving at the ride.

I MUST have a minimum of 40 endurance riders to break even. And this year we MUST break even!

Please keep in mind this is also a fundraiser for Hiatus K9 Inc. The raffle money goes to them, please consider additionally donating directly to them. Also included in the raffle is Vicky Beelik’s book Plan, Prepare, Implement: Large Animal Emergency Evacuation Planning. With this years fire season I would encourage you all NOT to wait to get such a book but GET IT NOW! It’s on amazon. She also offers up clinics. Vicky will be speaking at the ride meeting Friday evening so please plan to be there.

FOOD: I’m still working on that one. However, we will have the traditional Prater Mountain sheet cake at the award ceremony.
Volunteers: if your not doing anything and are willing to be a volunteer I’ll buy you lunch! Please reach out and let me know if I can count on you.
Thank you for your patience on my long post! More will be forthcoming! Have the best day!!
