🧡🖤 Honoring Coach Holbrook 🖤🧡
This week, Coach Holbrook resigned from his position as Head Wrestling Coach to focus on family.
Today, we take a moment to recognize and thank Coach Holbrook for everything he has meant to our wrestling program and the Priest River community.
For many years, Coach Holbrook dedicated countless hours to Priest River wrestling—coaching youth wrestling, leading our Middle School program, and serving the past 7 years as Varsity Head Coach. His passion, leadership, and commitment helped shape not only successful wrestlers, but hardworking young men and women.
During his 7 years as Head Coach, Coach Holbrook coached 15 State Placers and 3 Individual State Champions—an incredible accomplishment representing half of all the Individual State Champions in school history.
Coach Holbrook’s impact extended beyond the boys program as well. Under his leadership, he helped establish girls wrestling in Priest River and guided the program to historic milestones. During his time, Priest River saw its first two girls qualify for the State Tournament and celebrated the first girls wrestler to win a match at State under his guidance.
While the accomplishments on the mat speak for themselves, Coach Holbrook’s true impact goes far beyond medals and wins. The time, energy, and heart he poured into this program and into the lives of our athletes will leave a lasting mark for years to come.
Coach Holbrook, thank you for your dedication, sacrifice, and belief in Priest River wrestling. Your leadership, mentorship, and passion will not be forgotten, and you will be greatly missed.
Family always comes first, and we fully support Coach Holbrook as he steps away to focus on those who matter most. We wish him and his family nothing but happiness, success, and new adventures ahead.
Once a Spartan, Always a Spartan. 🧡🖤
