Today was one of those moments I'll never forget.

I had the honor of speaking at the Journey Program graduation. While it may have looked like a simple ceremony to some, to me it represented something much bigger—hope.

I've been fortunate to work with several Journey classes over the years, watching young people who have faced difficult circumstances make the choice to keep moving forward. Every one of them has a story, and every one of them deserves the opportunity to write a better ending.

This was the first time I've ever spoken at a graduation, and it meant more to me than I can put into words because, years ago, I was one of those kids. I know what it feels like to make mistakes. I know what it feels like to wonder if people have given up on you. That's why I wanted these graduates—and especially their parents—to know something:

Who your child is today does not determine who they can become tomorrow.

Sometimes all it takes is one person who believes in them. One mentor. One coach. One program. One opportunity.

The system does a lot of good, and I'm grateful for everyone who works to help these young people. I also know the road isn't always easy. That's why our team at LionHeart Boxing Gym chose to become one of the programs that gives teens another path—a place where they can build confidence, discipline, accountability, and purpose. Boxing isn't just about learning to fight. It's about learning how to fight for a better future.

To every graduate: I'm proud of you.

To every parent: Don't lose hope. Keep believing in your child, even on the hard days.

And to our community: These young people don't need to be defined by their past. They need opportunities, encouragement, and people willing to stand beside them.

Congratulations to the Journey graduates. Your next chapter starts today, and I truly believe your best days are still ahead. ❤️

Anti-Bullying & Self-Defense Class

Join LionHeart Boxing Gym for a hands-on Anti-Bullying & Self-Defense Class where participants will learn how to recognize bullying, build self-confidence, improve situational awareness, de-escalate conflict, and use effective self-defense techniques when necessary—all in a safe, positive, and encouraging environment.

This class is perfect for beginners and experienced students alike. Our goal is to empower young people with the confidence to protect themselves, make smart decisions, and stand up to bullying without becoming bullies themselves.
