Thank You From 989 RACEWAY & The Family of Ron Comby 🕊️🏁
On behalf of the 989 RACEWAY crew and the entire family of our dear friend, Ron Comby, we want to extend a massive thank you to our community for your patience and support during Ron’s memorial ride.
To the 98% of you who were patient, respectful, and gave us the space to honor our friend: Thank you. Your respect meant the world to all of us as we navigated this tough day.
To the other 2% who couldn't wait: We truly hope you made it to your destination on time.
Just to clear the air—we originally had police lined up to es**rt the ride and block traffic for us. However, duty called, and they had an urgent, important call to respond to right before we started. We had to work with what we had, pivot on the fly, and do the blocking ourselves to keep everyone safe.
Despite the minor traffic hiccups, the memorial ride, the races, and the mudding event went absolutely great.
Once again, as usual for a 989 RACEWAY event, the only major thing that happened was everyone had a dang good time.
Even though we were all mourning the loss of a great friend, seeing the community come together like this is exactly how Ron would have wanted to be remembered.
Thank you all for riding with us. Rest easy, Ron. 🪵🔥🚙💨
