These two future vaquero guides are killers, 9 year old kayson calling 7 year old Knox’s shots last off season. We take a lot of kids hunting every year and I don’t even know how many kids I have had the privilege of helping take their first cow elk…… it becomes quickly apparent which kids are exposed to hunting, shooting, the outdoors, early on in life and which ones picked up a gun for the first time a month or so before their hunt !

What these things can do to a deer population is not cool but getting to see creatures like this is !

This was the last thing the guides expected to see one September day this year. This is an African spurred tortoise that was found while hunting at relatively high elevation. No idea his story or where he came from but a true giant of dinosaur. You never know what you will see while in the woods.
