Dear Community,
In November of 2025 The Prescott Parks and Rec District ran the annual levy that allows the
District to run the pool and maintain the park here in Prescott. Unfortunately the levy did not
pass. The levy needed 60% of the vote to pass. It only received 59.51% of the vote. Only 18%
of the registered voters actually voted on the levy. The District applied for two different grants that might allow the pool to open this summer despite the levy not passing. However, the District did not receive those grants. The District was told that since the community did not support the District through the levy, they did not feel it a prudent use of money to give the District the grants.
Needless to say the Prescott Pool will not be opening this summer. It is unfortunate, but without the levy it is financially impossible to open the pool this year.
It is our hope that the voters of the Prescott Joint Parks and Rec District will vote for the levy this coming November so the pool can open in 2027.
Sincerely,
Prescott Joint Parks and Rec Board

The Prescott Joint Parks and Rec District annual levy is on the ballot again this November. Please remember to vote!

There is lightening and thunder this morning. The pool cannot open with thunder and lightning. The guards must wait 30 minutes after the last sighting of lightening or hearing of thunder to open the pool. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Good Morning Everyone. The chlorine in the pool is too high this morning for anyone to be in the pool safely. We are actively trying to bring the levels into a safe range. The pool will open late today, if we open. We do hope to open, but it may only be for open swim. For questions about swimming lessons please contact the YMCA.

The Prescott Joint Parks and Rec is excited to share with the community the photos and information about the Prescott Pool resurfacing project. In 2023 the PJPRD applied for and was awarded a grant from the Recreation and Conservation Office of the State of Washington. In 2024 PJPRD applied for, through the offices of Senator Perry Dozier, Senator Mark Klicker and Representative Sklyer Rude, a grant from the Capital Budget. With their support PJPRD was awarded a grant from the Capital Budget. With this money PJPRD was able to hire MPI Industrial Coatings in Pasco WA to resurface the inside of the swimming pool and baby pool. MPI Industrial Coatings' expertise and professionalism allowed them and PJPRD to smoothly navigate all the special requirements of each grant and complete a truly stunning transformation of the Prescott Pool and baby pool interiors.
All of the old paint and joint sealant was removed. The pool was primed, painted and an industrial grade sealant was applied to all the joints. With this resurfacing will extend the structural life of the Prescott Pool.
