On the hottest day of the year so far, seven strong men spent an evening sweating in the sun, swinging over 600 tires into a truck and trailer. Please join us in giving a huge thank you to Ron Murphy from Cernohous Chevrolet and the volunteers from Coulee River Trails. They removed 4.92 tons of tires from Pine Coulee Nature Preserve after staging them last fall. In addition, Cernohous Chevrolet generously paid the $2,000 recycling fee.

Huge thanks to our volunteer mowers Ed and Jerry! They’re keeping the trails at Pine Coulee Nature Preserve accessible as the growing season heats up. That’s a lot of work, so make them happy: get out there and enjoy the trails! 😁

So many bikes! So many kids! So much fun!
The rain stayed away to make the third annual bike rodeo the best one yet. 😁🌦️

Free helmets courtesy of Prescott Community Club. Free bike repairs with Bicycle Bob. And free mountain bikes and socks to the lucky winners of the raffle drawing! 🎉

Thank you to our sponsor Prescott Community Education and volunteers who gave generously to make this such an exciting event. 🏆

And a special thank you to City of Prescott, WI for finishing the paved trail just in time for the riders 🚲 to take a loop or two on the new trail.

Pine Coulee is for the birds (sound on). Did you know that we are in North America’s largest flyway for migratory birds? 462,500 birds crossed Pierce County on April 11.

Visit Pine Coulee Nature Preserve. Walk the trails quietly. Stand and listen. Bring binoculars and your favorite bird app (like Merlin Bird ID) to identify what you hear.

Feel your stress fade like the morning mist. Bird songs will do that for you. It’s a proven scientific fact. Happy spring migration!

Muddy trails? Come back another time. If you’re leaving marks on the trail, it’s too wet. That goes for you, too, dogs and deer 😁
