What’s going on at Magee Park? We’re making the mountain bike skills course and singletrack trails BETTER!

Our lead volunteer Dustin Wing teamed up with professional trail designer and builder Tim Wegner to create a new and improved experience. The new black level challenge loop is almost complete, and a new blue trail connector will allow riders to wrap around the skills course for a smoother, longer ride.

Beginner and intermediate tracks on the skills course will provide progressions for riders of different abilities.

Future enhancements include additional trail features, a cedar fence, rain gardens and trees, and wooden trail overpasses.

Ride down to Magee Park to check it out this weekend. Stay tuned for more updates!

It’s a great day to take a hike! Try our new trail segment while you’re at Pine Coulee Nature Preserve. New directional signage coming soon 🥾➡️🌳

Check out the new welcome sign for Pine Coulee Nature Preserve in Prescott! Thanks to funding from the Prescott Foundation and the Knowles Nelson Stewardship Program, visitors can learn about the preserve's unique ecological features and trail system before heading out to explore!

The next time you visit, take a moment to read through the list of project partners featured at the bottom of the sign. Their collaboration and support helped make this preserve a reality.

Our volunteers have been sweating in the woods this week in 90+ degree days to bring you a new trail segment. This is part of a reroute at Pine Coulee Nature Preserve that will add interest and open up space for future trails to expand the system and connect beyond Pine Coulee.

One special volunteer dedicated an entire week to the project. Another has been chipping away a few hours at a time over the last couple of months. Looking for ways to make a difference? We can put you to work! 😊

Training for a race? Run local on almost 5 miles of trail at Pine Coulee Nature Preserve and Magee Park that takes you through woods and plains and hills and flats, on dirt, grass, and a little bit of blacktop. Take a few loops to get more miles. If it makes you happy, stop and hug a tree along the way to say thank you to Mother Earth for this beautiful natural space.
