The U.S. Open begins today at the incredibly challenging Oakmont Country Club, just outside Pittsburg, PA. Remarkably, their Par 3 8th hole can play at over 300 yards. Yes, it's a PAR 3. For reference, Prentice Pine's 8th hole is only 222 yards - and our 8th hole is a PAR 4!

Famous for playing 300 yards during the 2007 U.S. Open, the 8th hole at Oakmont Country Club could match that distance again in 2016. USGA Executive Director Mike Davis said as much Monday from U.S. Open Media Day at the course. "As we said in 2007, before everybody thinks we have lost our marbles m...
