🕯️In Loving Memory of LJ Telles 🕯️

The Premont ISD Community invites you to join us for a Candlelight Vigil as we honor and remember LJ and show our love and support for the Telles family.

📍 Premont Collegiate Auditorium

Please bring an LED candle as we come together in prayer, remembrance, and unity.

LJ will forever be remembered and deeply missed. Please continue to keep the Telles family and all those affected in your thoughts and prayers. ❤️

We survived our first UCA cheer camp at Texas State! It definitely won’t be our last!

Our squad bonded through the highs and lows, crazy dance breaks, lots of DoorDash, laughter, and especially exhaustion. We loved all our UCA staff but especially Dylan, Daniella, Robert, Margo, and CJ.

We ended cheer camp with achieving:
⭐️ Blue Superior ribbons on both Day 2 and 3 evals
⭐️ 4th Place in our Crowd leading Spirit routine
⭐️ 2nd Place in our Camp Dance with pyramid routine
*We are extremely proud of our final day routines as we competed in the Large Varsity category against bigger schools (3 In 5A and 1 In 6A).

We had two cheerleaders awarded with the Pin it Foward Award.
UCA Staff chooses a cheerleader who consistently demonstrate exceptional leadership, spirit, commitment, kindness, and motivation.
⭐️ Our UCA staffer Dylan from UTRGV chose Allison Reyna on Night 3. Allison pinned it forward to our Unicorn friend from New Bruanfels!
⭐️ After cheerleaders were pinned, they had the opportunity to pin someone they thought showed those characteristics, so our Centurion friend from John Paul II pinned Caleb Salinas.

We also had 8 All-American cheerleaders:

📣 Shantay
📣 Sydni
📣 Zadha

Our captains were awarded with the opportunity to attend various UCA events, as well as, participated in leadership training. Our seniors had a session of their own about life after HS. Our coaches, Coach D and Moreno, participated in their own trainings as well.

Day 2 done!

We are having a SUPERIOR time, earning a Blue Superior ribbon for our first evaluation. Another night with a spirit stick… 🍌 We got our eyes on the banana for tomorrow!

We are officially starting day 1 of cheer camp!

While we are excited for the days ahead, leaving home right now was hard. This week, our school and our team suffered an unimaginable loss with the passing of our classmate and friend, LJ.

LJ was truly the life of the party. He brought a level of joy, laughter, and unmatched energy to every room he walked into, and his absence leaves a massive void. We are definitely mourning, but we are pushing through and finding our strength for him. We are riding for LJ every single time we hit the mat, cheering with a purpose and carrying his vibrant energy with us.

From bow to toe, we have LJ in our thoughts and on our hearts. We will proudly be wearing his number on our bows and his initials on our shoelaces all week long to keep his memory close. 🎀

We are ready to work hard, stay strong, and shine bright, just like LJ did.

To our school family: We know how heavily this loss weighs on everyone. Please don’t carry this pain alone. The school is offering grief counseling services for any students or staff who need support or just a safe place to process everything. Please reach out to the front office if you need anything at all.

To LJ’s family, friends, and our entire school community: we love you, we are lifting you up, and we are praying for you.
