Autauga Academy Peewee and Termite Cheerleaders

💛GENERALS:💛

I am moving forward with Pom Squad for our elementary girls. We will not have a P*eWee football team this year so this will be a way for our younger girls to still participate and cheer on some of our Generals. We will learn one Pom routine, and a few cheers that we will perform at selected halftimes and pep rallies for our JV and Varsity boys. We will have a “uniform” that will consist of black shorts, AAG shirt, hair bow, and poms. The cost will be $80 per student and we need to get a count as soon as possible. AAG ELEMENTARY GIRL PARENTS: I’m trying to gauge interest in having a Pom Squad this year for our younger girls. This would be for Pre-k through 2ng grade. Our cheerleaders will be focused on 3rd through 6th grade girls if we have enough for a team this year. Otherwise Pom Squad would be open to them as well. Pom Squad would consist of matching T shirts/shorts/hair bows, one dance and a few cheers, and we will perform at some JV and Varsity halftimes and pep rallies if we have them. It will NOT be full uniform, all cheers, and prep for next level cheer. Just a fun activity and way to be involved. If you think you would be interested please contact me and let me know. P*ewee home game tomorrow • Tues 10/20 ⭐️ Game starts at 530. Please have your cheerleader on the wooden platform no later than 515. They will need to wearing their black Nike shirts and new yellow AAG cheer shirt. Bring poms!! Tomorrow is the last game and I’m so glad it’s at home so everyone can be there!! On Tuesday, September 29 we will take pictures for Elementary Dance team, P*e Wee football and cheer .

Children will need to come with their uniforms for pictures .

Dance pictures will be at 1:00.

P*e Wee football and cheer will take pictures at 2:30.

Your child will bring home a picture order form today. Mrs. Dawn will have spare forms .

P*ewee Home game tomorrow at 5:30. Cheerleaders will meet on the wooden platform at 5:15 right before game time. Black shorts and yellow/white uniform top. Bring poms!

Practice starts next week!! We will practice Tuesday and Thursdays from 3:00-4:30. I will get all PW cheerleaders from their classrooms and walk them to the gym. They will have time to change clothes and have a snack. Please send a cheer snack and water! We are not sharing snacks this year.

Per Mr. Pickett, due to Covid-19 restrictions, no parents are allowed in the gym during practice 😷. We will keep the kids at a safe distance in their lineups for stretching and learning cheers. At 4:30, I will have the kids in the lobby and walk them to your car. If your child goes to extended care, please let me know!

When games start, I will give more information on travel directions, time to be there, etc. Practice is planned to just go to one day a week once games start. If we feel that we need to add a practice, we will let you know! We want these girls to love p*ewee cheer and do not intend for it to be stressful! We will learn enough cheers to get us through games and a dance or two. Instead of traditional uniforms this year, we are doing black tennis skirts and a few options for tops. Hi all! I hope everyone has had a great summer so far! It’s time to start planning for the upcoming year of p*e wee cheer and we need to get a list of those planning to participate so we can get registration information to everyone along with plans for uniforms, supplies, and fees. Myself and Katie Turner will be working with the girls again this year and are super excited to see all the sweet faces again! We will do everything in our power to maintain a healthy environment that follows the guidelines set forth by AA as far as Covid and associated risks.
