Today, August 3, 2026, the DriveSouth family is grieving the loss of Bobby’s dad, our beloved Papsi, James Dean Rogers 💚
He was a retired U.S. Navy Chief, a dreamer, an inspiration, and one of the hardest-working men we knew. He believed in building, creating, providing, and always looking toward what could be. He was deeply loved, and his influence will continue through his family and everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Born August 31, 1955, Papsi lived a life of service, determination, and love. While we wish we had more time, we are grateful for every lesson, every memory, and every moment we were blessed to share with him.
As a family-owned business, DriveSouth has always been built around people. We are incredibly grateful that the club can continue to be a place where our members and guests can enjoy golf, community, and time together while our family takes time to grieve. Thank you for your patience, understanding, prayers, and unwavering support during this difficult season as our family grieves this tremendous loss. It means more than you know.
