Color wars by night (black headbands vs white headbands), with the Teens/Tweens 😊 There were no winners, just all out war. We finally called a truce so we could hydrate 😅.

One of the cutest dojo socials yet! The Karate Kid movie, games, pizza and popcorn, and lots and lots of energy and fun 😊 We had only one student who finished the entire movie 🤩 even with all the noise from the kids' games in the background 😄.

Great day at The Albertville Open Martial Arts Tournament! Thank you Matt Roeder, Alisha Roeder, and The Albertville Karate Academy for all of the work that went into coordinating and overseeing logistics for such a successful, large scale event. Congratulations are in order for a group of hardworking students at Wilson YMCA Dojo in Montgomery, AL! These students rarely miss a class and have shown up for one another through months of sweating, stretching, sparring, and conditioning. Love seeing how proud they are of themselves and the progress they have made since their first class 🫶

Proudly announcing the Dojo's latest black belt candidate--Lincoln. Promoted to 3rd kyu brown belt (only the 5th ever promoted through Grandview Dojo) after four years of sweating, learning, and now leading on the same dojo floors as his black belt predecessors. His next level of training and black belt preparation and countdown begins.

South Alabama Karate Open was a full day of karate competition and fun! Thank you to Master Mark Rudd of Andalusia Isshinryu Karate (and crew) for hosting and directing the event.
