When Deshawn Hall left the AISA ranks for Prattville, he carried talent but also uncertainty. Could his game translate? One year later, SEC programs are knocking. See link below ⬇️

Congrats!

Today, we celebrate a scholarship recipient. Tomorrow, we might be celebrating a nurse — and someday, a pediatrician — who changes lives.

The Marlon & Marcus Foundation is proud to announce Kei’Yana Marshall as the first-ever recipient of the 2026 CACC Workforce Scholarship.

Kei’Yana will be formally recognized during the Marlon & Marcus Foundation’s 3rd Annual Juneteenth Family Night Concert on June 19, 2026, at Mac Gray Park in Prattville.

A 2026 Honors Graduate of Prattville High School, Kei’Yana graduated early through dual enrollment and has shown excellence in academics, leadership, service, and an unwavering dedication to helping others. She graduates with a 4.064 GPA, multiple healthcare certifications, over 400 volunteer and shadowing hours, and acceptance into Central Alabama Community College’s Practical Nursing (LPN) Program, with a long-term goal of becoming a pediatrician.

In addition to her academic achievements, Kei’Yana has been selected as a member of the inaugural Central Alabama Community College Volleyball Team, making her part of another historic chapter at the college.

As the first recipient of this scholarship, Kei’Yana embodies the purpose of the award: excellence, service, leadership, and a commitment to building a brighter future.

When the Marlon & Marcus Foundation created this scholarship, it was done intentionally. We want local students to know they have outstanding educational and workforce opportunities right here at home. More than four years after opening Central Alabama Community College’s Prattville campus, students like Kei’Yana continue to demonstrate the impact those opportunities can have on our community’s future.

By investing in students like Kei’Yana, we are investing in future healthcare professionals, skilled workers, leaders, and change-makers who will strengthen our community for generations to come.

In her own words:

“Nursing is a profession that combines compassion, service, and knowledge — it aligns perfectly with my desire to care for others.”

Please join us in congratulating Kei’Yana Marshall on this historic achievement and wishing her continued success as she pursues her dream of serving others through healthcare.

The Foundation also extends its gratitude to Kei’Yana’s family for their support, encouragement, and sacrifices throughout her educational journey.

Today, we celebrate a scholarship recipient. Tomorrow, we might be celebrating a nurse — and someday, a pediatrician — who changes lives.
