🎤 OUR PANELIST LINEUP IS IN! 🎤

The panelists for our upcoming Female Empowerment Symposium are officially set - and I could not be more excited about this group!

Over the next week, I’ll be introducing you to each panelist and sharing a little bit about her story.

Here’s what I LOVE about this year’s lineup:

✨ They’re local. Every panelist has ties to the Sauk Prairie area.
🎓 Many are Sauk Prairie graduates. They’ve been in the same halls and community as the girls attending.
💪 They’ve found success in different ways. There isn’t one path to becoming successful.
🌎 They come from different fields and backgrounds. Each woman brings her own experiences, challenges, lessons, and perspective.

Because sometimes the most powerful thing a young woman can hear is:

“She’s from here. She’s walked a different path. And if she can do it, maybe I can too.”

I hope you’re just as excited as I am to meet these incredible women and hear their stories!

Til then - here’s a throwback to our amazing lineup last time, all former collegiate athletes. 🙌

👉 Don’t forget to register for the Female Empowerment Symposium on Sunday, November 8th and have the opportunity to hear directly from our panelists and ask them your questions!

With Fall sports underway - here’s a parenting reminder!

Praise the effort, not the skill.

Instead of: “Wow, you run so fast!”

Try: “I noticed how hard you were running out there. Great hustle!”

Why does this matter?

Because effort, attitude, and persistence are controllable. Skills and outcomes are not.

After the game, notice and comment on the process and effort they are putting in - not the result and score.

This is what will help build a growth mindset for your kiddo early on.

Me: “Boys, it’s time for bed. Let’s pause the Legos until tomorrow.”

Calvin: “Mommy, can you go back to talking to Daddy? Caiden and I want some alone building time.”

As a mom of 3 littles AND a mental performance consultant, I see so much more happening around this Lego table than two boys simply building a kit before bedtime.

They’re building skills for life.

1. TEAMWORK
They have to communicate, take turns, problem-solve together, and figure out how to work toward the same goal.

2. FRUSTRATION TOLERANCE
A piece doesn’t fit. They missed a step. Something has to be taken apart and rebuilt.
Cue the frustration… and the opportunity to practice working through it.

3. COORDINATION & FINE MOTOR SKILLS
Those tiny pieces require patience, precision, hand-eye coordination, and control.

4. IMAGINATION & CREATIVITY
Even when they’re following a kit, they’re learning to visualize, create, and see what something could become. They also sometimes go off script and create their things.

5. FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS
Read the instructions. Pay attention. Complete the step. Check your work. Move to the next one.

6. TRUSTING THE PROCESS
This might be my favorite.

They don’t get to see the finished product right away.

They have to build it one step at a time.

Sometimes it takes multiple days. Sometimes they have to go backward before they can move forward.

And eventually, all those small pieces and small steps come together to create something they couldn’t see at the beginning.

That’s performance psychology.

We talk so much about mental skills in sport - confidence, focus, communication, handling mistakes, trusting the process.

But these skills don’t magically appear when a child puts on a jersey.

They’re practiced in everyday life.

Around the Lego table.
In the classroom.
At the dinner table.
On the playground.
In sibling relationships.
And eventually, in the workplace.

So yes… sometimes bedtime gets pushed back a few minutes for Legos. 😂

Because they’re not just building Legos.

They’re building the skills they’ll carry into the classroom, the field, and their future.

And maybe, as parents, part of our job isn’t always to rush in and fix the frustration, finish the step, or make the process easier.

Sometimes it’s simply to sit back and let them build.

That’s how you build a CLUTCH mentality.

Over 7 years ago I had the opportunity to host the first Female Athlete Empowerment Symposium with an amazing lineup of guest speakers, interactive breakouts sessions, and a former collegiate athlete panel to a group of over 60 high school female athletes.

It was amazing - I left in awe of the lessons learned throughout the event and the support that we received from the local Sauk Prairie high school, businesses, and community.

Since that day - I have dreamed about doing it again.

This year is that year.

Join us November 8th from 10am-2pm for a day for the girls - to empower, inspire, connect and grow our belief in our own strengths and abilities.

While many speakers have backgrounds, trainings, and education in the world of sport, this event goes beyond the court, field, and track. The topics touched throughout this event will be carried into classrooms, homes, work, etc.

If you’re a high school female in the area - you’ll want to be here.

Registration is open and scholarships are available!

Had a great session with Champion Force Athletics coaches on applying Positive Motivation to get the best from their athletes. 💥

As a trainer and facilitator I love it when you ask a question and 10 hands shoot up - which is the engagement level this group brought each time.

I love to see it 🙌

The knowledge, expertise, and application of the tools we discussed is already in the room among these coaches and the value of them sharing their experiences with each other brings more value to a workshop than I ever could as a trainer and coach.

Thank you for your depth of participation, openness in conversations, contagious positive energy, and willingness to try on the process. 🙏
