Summer Slam Regatta will be held July 24th and 25th! This is a CSSA sanctioned Regatta for Catalina 22's. Come out and join in the fun!

Hiram Douglas Memorial Regatta
A one day Regatta, Sunday, November 3, 2019

All boats 18 feet length on deck or greater are welcome. Other boats allowed at the discretion of the Regatta Chair; please inquire. Boats shall register in either Spinnaker, Cruising, or multi hull handicap fleets. The primary helmsman of a boat must be a current member of Thunderbird Sailing club, Central States Sailing Association or of another US SAILING Regional Sailing Association if that helmsman resides outside the CSSA Region or a TSC recognized sailing club.

SCHEDULE:
08:30 Registration, coffee, donuts
10:30 Registration ends
10:45 Competitors' Meeting
11:20 Harbor Gun
11:50 Warning Signal 1st start for Distance Race
4:40 Refreshments: chili and sides, beverages & warm building
5:00 Trophy presentation

Sailing season will be here before you know it. I will start reviewing area club calendars and posting regattas here as I find them. If you know about any regattas in the area let me know and I will get the info posted.

Something to think about and practice before your next race(s).

It's a common refrain in the parking lot after almost every race: A sailor wanted to go to the favored side of the course but couldn't get there because another boat was 'in the way.' As a result, he or she had a bad result and blamed this, at least partially, on the other boat.
