Prague Red Devil Archery

Another interesting turn of events:

I returned to Prague the past school year in the middle of the 1st semester. Mrs. Camren and Mrs. Coffey have done a fine job with the archery program, and I was asked to do archery for the After School Program at the elementary for 4th and 5th grade. At the end of the school year, Mrs. Camren told me that she and Mrs. Coffey have been discussing and praying about their directions with their own obligations, and have decided to return the archery program back to me.

So starting the 2026-2027 school year, Prague Red Devil Archery will be fully integrated for grades 4-12. I have also been told that we have the support necessary to build the program and, eventually, hosting tournaments. I can’t wait to see what the future of Prague Red Devil Archery holds!

Today I have done something that has been very difficult to do. Prague has been an excellent community for me, and I have enjoyed these past few years. I was not looking for employment elsewhere, nor am I eager to get away from Prague, but I have been offered another opportunity, and after my wife, friends, and I have prayed about it, I felt like I would be foolish to pass up on it. I turned in my resignation as teacher at Prague Public Schools.

Prague Red Devil Archery competed at the Connors State College South Ranch Shootout near Warner. Started with lunch at El Jarocha Mexican Grill, then headed to the CSC Ranch for their respective shoots. Some archers also competed in Trap and S***t, some did a little 3D fun shoot after their scored shoots, and a few decided to fish the ponds while they waited. The weather forecast looked bad, but it held off for us, so it was a beautiful day for an outdoor event. I didn’t get any pics of the shotgun or fishing, but hopefully the other parents and coaches will share those with me and I can post them as well.

And just like that, Prague Red Devil Archery season is over. It was a great season, and hopefully they all enjoyed it, and I look forward to it again next year!

This organization’s primary function is “to pass on to interested individuals, the knowledge and skills involved in constructing and utilizing Primitive archery equipment”. This includes building selfbows, primitive and archery related items
