Mother’s Day weekend was a fun one for the teams that played and some lifelong memories were definitely made! The 11U Generals started on Friday night under the lights at The Ark and were hitting on all cylinders. They had a decisive win and their pitchers threw a combined no-hitter! The other big story for them was they got their first team home run with an absolute monster shot by Hudson Davis. While they were playing, the 8U Recruits were traveling to North Carolina for their first ever travel tournament on Saturday. Those boys didn’t go down there to mess around either. After the fun ended with their team dinner and Friday night pool party, they showed up on the fields Saturday and went 1-1 against two tough opponents earning their first out-of-state win. They played in the Top Gun Battle of the Roses 8U kid pitch tournament🌹 and made their mama’s proud! The 11U Commanders took the field Saturday as well in Richmond. Although they came up short in both games, they went against some stiff competition and played some of the best baseball they have ever played. Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing Core moms out there! Thank you for sharing your weekend with us at the ball fields. On to a tough week of practice and then all the boys will grab their lumber for the wood bat tournament next weekend! 🩵⚾️
