Our Spring season has come to an end for our Powhatan Bucks 11U boys. It came with some wins, some losses, strengthening of new and old friendships, and lots of growth. We are learning baseball is just as much a mental game as it is a physical one. We are excited to see what next season brings and for you all to follow along on our journey! 🖤🩶🤍🖤🩶🤍🦌🦌🦌

Our boys had a weekend filled with many highs and lows. Our tournament began on Saturday, and though we lost our first game, we had some good plays and hits. Our second game proved much harder for us mentally, and we walked away with two losses for the day. Sunday was a new day for the Bucks, and we arrived with new energy and we PLAYED some serious ball in our first and second game. We earned a W in our first game, earning us a spot to advance in the tournament and play the 1st place team. Those boys, had NO idea what our Bucks were bringing to the plate! They were not ready for our amazing round of hits straight out of the dugout, or the lightening pitches of Homerun Hunter Hanes! Hunter hit an over-the-fence home on BOTH days of the tournament!! Our boys showed heart, and most importantly, good sportsmanship. 🖤🩶🤍🦌

Our 11U Powhatan Bucks played two games on Saturday in some rainy weather and WON BOTH games! Our first game we won 6-3, and in our second game we were down by a few runs, but our boys dug deep and battled their way back to a 15-8 win!! 🖤🩶🤍🦌

It was a cold and rainy day for our second tournament, but our 11U Powhatan Bucks had some great plays. We won our first game, came up short in our second, and walked away with more confidence than last week…so we will take that as a win🩶🤍🖤🦌

Our 11U boys had a rough go this weekend. They played two games against some very good teams, one undefeated, and unfortunately did not pull out any wins. Our coaches saw many great things happening as well as areas for improvement. There is no doubt our boys and coaches will put all they have into practice this week to become a stronger and sound team, both mentally and physically. 🖤🩶🤍🦌
