Hunting season is on its way.

Ok I changed the last verse but in all seriousness rabbit season will be here in a few months. We’ve put some cameras out to figure out some of the deer patterns so we can start hunting come October. Then rabbit season will be in the same time as muzzleloader season is in November.

Puppies getting big. Lil Girl’s pups are 4.5 weeks old now and Willodean’s two girls are going to be 4 weeks old tomorrow (Saturday 6/8). Both litters have been introduced to some softened dog food.

Figured I’d do a pup update.

Lil Girl’s puppies are a little over a week old and starting to open their eyes. They’re getting big and chunky too. Lil Girl has been doing such a great job raising them.

Willodean unfortunately is now only raising two puppies. Her other puppies didn’t make it. We aren’t totally sure what happened but to insure these two little girls make it we’ve brought momma and puppies inside. They’re fighters and are nursing good.

Of course Robbie wants to be part of the action with these puppies. He always wants to hold em or at least pet them and check on them. We are keeping his interaction with Willodean and her pups to a minimum at the moment but will let him look in on them from time to time.
