I want to wish everyone a wonderful New Year!
We WILL be having class tomorrow at 7am but will be skipping the 6 am class. Enjoy your evening.
Quick Update!
The class schedule is still posted as the page's banner! We now have a rotating weekly schedule.
Week one:
Monday is Insanity Rev'd up. This is my twist on the already killer Insanity Format. We take most of the breaks away, bump up our duration and cut reps. It is more endurance based than interval based. Because at The Body Shop, we know training in different ways does wonders for the body.
Tuesday of week one is good old fashioned P90X. We train strength breaking the body apart in three areas: upper, lower, and core. However, there's a good chance you'll use all your muscles in all the areas!
Wednesday is Turbo Kick. It is a personal favorite. We all leave smiling and drenched in sweat. Rhythm is optional, fun is required!
Thursday is strength conditioning. We use a variety of styles on this day to achieve ultimate functional strength. You may see a little cardio peeking in on these days but the focus is resistance.
Friday is PiYo. Friday is always PiYo. PiYo is like a love language. I say this because I love to work your body to the ends of its tolerance and you will love to hate me during it. But afterwards I can almost guarantee, we'll be friends again. I like to call it yoga for those with ADD.
Week Two:
We roll it back to old school insanity. Killer Maximum Intensity Interval Training. We do cut out breaks in our lower intensity intervals so we have time for all the good stuff, but fear not, you'll burn all the calories.
Tuesday brings us to my new favorite format. Since I we added this to the schedule nearly a year ago, the feedback has been all positive. Participants love how quick the class feels. We are always sore for the rest of the week. We use weights in the most functional intervals possibly to achieve max results. It has become my new favorite.
Wednesday is your chance to get the crazy out with our mixed martial arts influenced kickboxing extravaganza. No need for coordination, just punch whatever thing that's in your way directly in the face... metaphorically speaking. That's why we have the class. Assault is bad.
Thursday is barre. Everyone knows when the chairs are on the mat, we're going to be crying. Barre has created incredibly functional muscle in those who have been willing to tolerate the pulse.
Friday is PiYo.. Friday is always PiYo!
**On Saturdays we enjoy a killer mashup surprise at 6 am and if anyone is willing a Turbo Piyo Fusion at 7.
** Tuesday evenings at 7:30 pm we still have PiYo unless motherhood prevents it.
The Body Shop sure has evolved over the years. I am ever proud of where we are today and what we do on the mat.
Thanks to all who have ever supported us, whether it was once, for a season, or my ride or die crew, you all mean the world to me and I wish you nothing but the BEST! Praise God for all He has done and continues to do.
