And just like that, first day back on the water was a success! 🤓🥲

Got the boat hooked up safely with no issues! Made it Murrell Park on the North side of Lake Grapevine about 9am and had a successful launch.

I did have some issues with a connection from the fuel pump being faulty and leaking fuel, but we managed to get to a pocket down past Twin Coves.

Got to do some fishing with very light gear! Hand was strong enough to hold a rod and reel as close to normal as I possibly can for having just started PT! I even had a couple bites on a mini wacky rig, and watched a small bass spit the hook in mid air on my UL with a 3in Keitech USA easy shiner!

Managed to get the boat back down the lake and fished the cove near the boat ramp for another little while.

Then put her back on the trailer and got her home and back in the garage!

I’m so blessed to have only been out for a month and change, and that my injury wasn’t worse than it was! 🙏🏼

Thank you to everybody who has prayed for my hand and supported the Lake And Line journey so far! It felt like a dream to be back out there on the water again doing what I love. 🥲 I was literally like a kid on Christmas morning!

Now to just get the fuel pump issue fixed, get my trolling motor upgraded, and get the livescope I bought installed!

Meant to post this earlier, but it felt like a huge W for this Lake And Liner to be able to use his hand to fold laundry! Haven’t been able to do that in over a month! May be silly to some people, but I’d call it progress! 🥲 💪🏼

Just thought I’d give y’all a glimpse of what starting physical therapy was like today!

I have full faith that following this protocol will lead me back to have a very near normal hand again within the next year!

Gooooooood morning Lake And Liiiiiiiinnneeeeerrrrssss!!! Almost halfway through the week! 🤓 Hopefully work and life has been good to everybody thus far!

While I am grateful to be back at work and have the ability to earn income to get back in front of everything again, my zoom meeting this morning very quickly reminded me why I aspire to be able to make a living from fishing instead of being in sales/marketing 🥲

All that being said, it feels great to have something to work towards, and I sincerely appreciate each and every one of you who are following along and/or are engaging along the way, because YOU 🫵🏼 are integral to helping make this happen for me!

I hope everybody has a blessed day, and that you feel as bad to the bone as Stella does when she squares up to me!

It was gnarly watching the PA grab that mug and pull it out with pliers, but to my surprise it didn’t really hurt coming out lol. Can’t believe he won’t let me keep the pin or take a video of it coming out 🥲

Sorry for taking the extra day yesterday, but I am back today, and my oh my what a big day it is!

Not only am I supposed to return to work, but my appointment to get the external pin removed is today at 10:15! 😅

I pray y’all have had a great start to your week and that today goes swell for you! Now if you could pray for me that getting this pin pulled out doesn’t hurt too bad and that I can slide back into work smoothly, that would be greatly appreciated! 🥲
