Some people make a gym feel bigger than workouts and class times. Rochelle is one of those people.

As a coach and a true jack of all trades at KCF, she has been a steady presence and a core part of our heartbeat for years. She leads with empathy, coaches with heart, and brings a mix of compassion and quiet strength that makes people trust her instantly.

Rochelle has an incredible gift for showing up for people in exactly the right way. She knows when to offer a quiet word of reassurance, when to celebrate a small win, and when to give you the exact push you need most. Beyond the gym walls, she is also an amazing mother and grandmother who pours that same endless care into her family.

As this post goes out, she is in Utah enjoying some much deserved time away with her loved ones. We could not think of a better way for her to celebrate.

Fats often get overlooked, but they are a key piece of the performance puzzle.

Dietary fats provide 9 calories per gram, making them your most energy-dense macronutrient. While they are not your primary fuel source during high-intensity workouts, they play a major role in supporting long-term energy, especially during lower-intensity activity and throughout the day.

Fats are essential for hormone production, including testosterone and other hormones that directly impact strength, recovery, and muscle growth. They also support brain function, joint health, and the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, and K), all of which keep your body running at a high level.

Getting enough healthy fats in your diet helps keep you satisfied between meals, supports stable energy levels, and prevents the crashes that can come with poor nutrition habits. Underconsuming fats over time can negatively affect recovery, performance, and overall health.

The PNW sun has arrived and we've wrapped up another month of fitness! A whopping 78 KCF athletes earned their Committed Club sticker!

Our effort inside the gym allows us to do fun things outside of the gym and we can't wait to see what everyone has on their summer agenda.

πŸ† Our May Committed Club Winner is Middle School Science Teacher Extraordinaire, Cameron Peters! Cameron shows up to the 5am class almost every day, and has since he started his journey at KCF back in 2019. Super fun fact - Cameron has made the Committed Club every month since we started in the spring of 2024 - TWENTY SIX straight months! So freaking awesome!

We have another month of fitness with friends on tap for June! Every month is a fresh start and another chance to jump in. Reserve your classes early, get yourself on the schedule, and let’s keep building momentum as the summer heats up β˜€οΈ

"The only track you need to focus on is the one right under your feet." πŸ‘Ÿ

When you walk through these doors, the rest of the world fades away. The only things that matter are the barbell in front of you, the breath in your lungs, and the effort you are willing to give.

It is easy to look at the lanes next to you and let someone else's speed or strength dim the light on your own hard work. But inspiration should only ever fuel you, the moment it makes you feel less than, it becomes a trap.

Everyone walking into this space is dealing with a different story, a different background, and a different set of goals.

Your progress cannot be measured by someone else's ruler.

Let go of what everyone else is doing. Step up to your own bar, focus on your own path, and honor your unique journey today.

Two weeks until Bring a Friend Week is back at KCF! πŸŽ‰

Mark your calendars for June 15th through June 20th.

If you have a friend who has been curious about CrossFit but just needs a little nudge, this is the perfect opportunity to show them what we are all about. We believe training is better when it is shared, and we would love for you to introduce your friends to our workouts, our coaches, and our incredible community.

From June 15th to June 20th, you can bring a friend to join any class completely free! Whether they come for one workout or try a few, they will get a real taste of why you love this place.

PS: Please have your friend fill out their waiver before class so the coach can focus on the fun and not the paperwork. One minute online means a smoother first workout for them!
