Nice end of the year awards banquet this evening to celebrate the NK Boys JV & Varsity teams. Lots of awards and great kids in the program top to bottom.

Cool to see them all on varsity get the scholarship award with a 3.7 team GPA average!

Thank you to the coaches Dan Weedin & David Carthum and all the parents who supported these boys all year with practice & league play driving, team meals, match play crowd support attendance, and all the things everyone does in the background to support their student athletes!

Great season gents!!!

Practice round yesterday at Tumwater GC for today’s WIAA 2A state golf championships.

Nick plays at 12:10 and Fritz is waiting to see if he gets in as an alternate. We all played on a beautiful day yesterday. And we had a couple of friends along to watch us!

What a great day for NK Golf!

The boys advanced three players to compete in the West Central District tournament in Sequim.

Nick Watson finished 5th to advance to state for the second year in a row by shooting an 82.

Fritz Sabari shot an 84 and picked up the 3rd alternate to state position and will join us there with hopes of getting in to play.

Davin Lancaster shot a sterling 85 for a terrific showing.

All three boys played and competed well, and we are proud of their accomplishments!

The girls also competed. I've heard from Coach Chris Vogt that Selma Willems is the first alternate to state, and Kalea Lisherness is the second alternate! Congratulations, Selma and Kalea!

West Central District 3 2A Golf tournament tomorrow at Cedars at Dungeness in Sequim. Five NK golfers competing for state berths: Nick Watson, Davin Lancaster, Fritz Sabari, Selma Willems, and Kalea Lisherness.

Six boys and five girls will advance to state. Our kids are ready to give it their best. GONK

Congratulations to the following boys advancing to the West Central District 3 2A Tournament out of yesterday's Olympic League Tournament:

Nick Watson, Davin Lancaster, and Aiden Smart

Fritz Sabari is in the 1st Alternate position and will travel with us to the tournament just in case there is a late scratch from the field.

We had seven boys competing at the league tournament (field of 48 boys), and the three advancing is the highest number we've had in five years. That's exciting!

Next up is the West Central District Tournament featuring 21 golfers from the Olympic and South Puget Sound Leagues vying for the final 6 spots to the WIAA State Championships. We have "room" to send all three of our boys!

NOTE: NK Girls are advancing two of their players to the district tournament. Congratulations to Selma Willems and Kalea Lisherness for their accomplishments!
