2nd meet of the year and 2 more medals earned! Great job boys!

🏃MEET RESULTS🏃

Yesterday was our HS cross country runners' second meet of the season. They traveled to Bath to compete in the Bret Clements Bath Invitational. It was a hot day with a slight breeze, but our athletes raced well!

➡️Donovan W finished with a time of 19:17.04 (last season at this meet he was 22+ minutes). This time was good enough for a medal and a 13th place finish.
➡️Kai H ran a time of 21:22.72 (almost 5 seconds faster than last year at this event). This time earned him a medal as he finished 35th.
➡️Elijah J ran his FIRST ever 5k, running a PR of 29:41.49.

Great start to the season!

Donovan W also had a 25 second PR with a 19:15, a 2:34 improvement from the same race a year ago!
Kai H ran a 20:23, a 1:14 improvement from the same race last year!

🏃‍♂️ MEET UPDATE 🏃‍♂️

We had TWO medalists today in the high school meet at Uncle John’s C***r Mill!!

✳️ Donovan W finished 7th out of 76
❇️ Kai H finished 13th out of 76

What a difference a year makes! Between last year’s Uncle John’s meet and this year, these two dropped between a minute and a half to two and a half minutes off their time. Hard work and dedication pays off!! Nice work, gentlemen!!

⚽🏈FALL SPORTS DATES🏐🏃

The summer is flying by, so we wanted to give everyone a heads-up on Fall start dates. Many teams have started optional summer work-outs, but official start dates can be found below.

🩺 A reminder that athletes MUST have an updated physical on file BEFORE they begin August practices. This must be dated on or after April 15, 2026. This summer is a great time to get in with your child's doctor or a local urgent care to get the physical form completed. The form can be found at the MHSAA website, or using the link: https://bit.ly/MHSAAPhysicalform

📝 There are also a variety of other forms, along with payment that is due in order to participate. Please make sure you get these forms done asap so that you can continue to participate. The deadline is the 2nd week of each sport. Forms can be found using this link: https://bit.ly/PVAthleticforms

💰 Cost
HS - $70 per sport ($35 with free and reduced forms filled out and approved)
MS - $35 per sport ($18 with free and reduced forms filled out and approved)

📏ALL-STATE ATHLETE📏

Last weekend was the State Finals for Track and Field. Keegan B. finished off his HS discus career with 6th place. This earned Keegan All-State honors for the Discus. He has made States in Discus for 3 of his 4 years. In this last State Finals meet, he threw a personal best of 148'9"!
