🏒 Congrats to Brandon Bernard, a Potsdam native and Sandstoner alumnus, on continuing his hockey career with the Charleston Colonials!

A senior captain for the Sandstoners last season, Brandon led by example both on and off the ice. We are excited to see him take the next step in his hockey journey and wish him the best of luck as he begins this new chapter in Charleston!

Our hearts go out to Kaska and Norman families, and all of their friends and loved ones, following the devasting car accident. There truly are no words for a loss like this, and our thoughts are with everyone facing the unimaginable grief that comes with it.

The Potsdam varsity hockey community mourns the loss of Mike Grant, a Potsdam High School graduate and hockey alumni.

Mike was a true fixture in the local hockey community, dedicating more than 20 years to the Potsdam Youth Hockey Association as a coach and mentor. He guided the Potsdam Girls Ice Storm to two state championships and two national tournament appearances, leaving a lasting impact on countless young female athletes throughout our community.

His commitment, leadership and passion for the game and for the players he supported, will not be forgotten.

Our deepest condolences go out to the Grant family. 💙

Kayden has been named to the Hockey Coaches Association of New York (HCANY) Division I All‑State Second Team for the 2025–2026 season - an incredible achievement and a testament to hard work, leadership and outstanding play on the ice.
