Tips for your next show!
Certain gear is traditionally not used in pleasure classes, such as Walk Trot classes and Western Pleasure classes. Some of that gear is splint boots, bell boots, tie downs, and martingales. This gear is traditionally used for training and is not meant to be worn during a pleasure class at a show. While many judges look for correct movement, not breaking gaits, and correct leads, if there is a close call between placing riders, incorrect gear could be the deciding factor. I have included pictures to let you know what I'm talking about. During speed classes, these items are allowed.

Here are May points! I will say that I was told there was someone who registered for the buckle series, that was not communicated to me at the time of putting these together. I still do not have that paperwork, so I have not added them to the points. Once I see the paperwork, points may change for May. I appreciate your patience with the process. If you see any mistakes, please let me know. If you registered, and I have not started tracking your points, please let me know!
**You may still register to enter the buckle series at our 2nd show. Please take care of entering the buckle series before the 2nd show starts.

Another reminder as we approach our next show, horses are not allowed in front of the bleachers. Horses in front of the bleachers is a safety hazard for the horses, the riders, and the audience.

Just a reminder to everyone, Washington County Saddle Club does not allow alcohol on our grounds. This is in our by-laws. This is for the safety of everyone as well as a part of the Club’s values. Thank you for complying.

If WCSC is not hosting an event, only members are allowed to use the facilities. If you are not a member, and there is no event, you CANNOT ride at the club. Memberships last for only the year they are purchased, and if you haven’t joined for 2026, you are not a member.

I'm working on the points from the first show. There are just a few bugs to iron out, which is typical for the first set of points.
