Student Shoutout:

Sophomore, .golf has made some serious improvement over the past 16 months!

Sophia recently competed in Washington Area Girls Golf League Championship, shooting 78 and finishing third (2 back from medalist honors). Helping lead her team to 4 consecutive team titles (2nd for Sophia). After only a year prior shooting 106 in her first championship as she started into competitive golf.

Her 28 stroke improvement comes from hard work, precision being added to her game daily and a love for the game.

Sophia is beginning to show rankings in the PKB Nationals tour and AJGA leaderboard as she has lowered her handicap down to a 2 this season as she is training for college golf.

I’m proud of the work that she’s put in and I can’t wait for more success. She is exemplifying this quote from Homer Kelley:

“It’s not about instant perfection, but continuous progress towards a practical goal.”

Keep up the great work.

I got to caddy today for at Clustered Spires Golf Club for .s.kidsgolf Local Tour!

It was a beautiful day, with some great golf played. We achieved our goal of 12/18 Greens in Regulation (and 3 right on the fringe). A few bumpy greens and goofy bounces away from a special performance, but a really strong outing early in the season nonetheless.

Lynn Blake Certified Instructor Program #5 in the books! Promoted to Senior Instructorđź’Ş

Thank you for the great weekend of adding precision to our teaching skills. It’s a pleasure to be able to learn from one of the best coaches in the country.

Looking forward to next year. My Golfing Machine is literally breaking in half at this point, so we’ll see if it makes it to next year.
