Just a reminder when using the gun ranges at the Allamakee County Sportsman’s Club. Please don’t drive on the Gun Range yard in back as it is still mostly dirt and is very wet and muddy. In the future we will finish the gravel areas & roads, but it will be spring before we can do most of this. No vehicles on the back area as it is very wet! Thanks!

A lot of NEW & FUN things coming your way stay tuned with the NEW projects at the Allamakee County Sportsmans Club

More improvements going on at the Allamakee County Sportsman’s Club! The Clubs three new back yard Trap pad areas now have poles, lights and the electrical run to light up the ranges for the local High School Trap Teams and for future Trap shooting! Gravel has been added to the drive lanes out back and the pistol berm to keep the areas clean. Next up concrete work for the Trap Houses and Shooting Lane Pads so they can be ready for next springs season!

ACSC members, for a couple months we expect the Gun Ranges and outdoor Archery Ranges to be closed due to logging that is in progress and future dirt work that is upcoming. Please bare with us as we work through these upgrades! Next steps, move logs, dozers will move tree tops and push back Gun Range berms for longer distances and the Trap Range will be expanded. We will prep the grounds and reseed with grass as needed. We hope to have the Ranges functional soon with new Target frames for shooting. In the future we will not need or want any pallets to put targets on as the splinter and leave a mess. More to come on The new Target Frames!
