Olive Branch Little League Board of Directors is aware of posts being shared across multiple pages containing false and misleading allegations regarding Olive Branch Little League and individual members of our Board.
We understand that parents, families, and members of our community may have questions or concerns after seeing these posts. We want to assure our families and community that Olive Branch Little League remains committed to operating in accordance with our governing documents, the standards and requirements of Little League International, and the requirements applicable to our nonprofit organization.
We take our responsibility for the league’s finances seriously. Our financials are reviewed as part of our monthly Board meetings, and financial records are available to the public upon request by reaching out directly to our President, Vice President, and/or Treasurer. We will continue to ensure that our financial practices and records are properly maintained and accessible to the families and community we serve.
Our Board is made up of volunteers who dedicate their time to providing a safe, positive, and welcoming environment for our players and families. Regardless of disagreements or concerns among adults, our focus and priority will remain where it belongs, on our players.
Olive Branch Little League holds regular Board meetings on the first Monday of every month, with the first 30 minutes open to the public. Any modifications to our monthly meeting schedule will be posted on Facebook. We encourage parents, families, volunteers, and community members who would like to ask questions, provide feedback, raise concerns, or become more involved with the league to attend.
We welcome respectful participation and believe questions and concerns are best addressed directly, where accurate information can be provided and all sides of an issue can be appropriately considered.
We also encourage anyone who is interested in being a part of Olive Branch Little League and would like to help make a positive difference to consider volunteering. Our league depends on members of our community who are willing to give their time and work together for the benefit of our children.
The Board will continue to review and appropriately address concerns brought before it. We will not allow social media disputes or personal disagreements to distract from our responsibility to the children and families we serve.
Our Board remains committed to providing a safe place for our players and families and upholding the standards expected of Olive Branch Little League.
We appreciate the continued support of our Olive Branch Little League families and the Portsmouth community.
