Skill Refresher 10/31!

Come join us at the Westbrook Community Center from 3-7pm for a skills refresher circuit! Basic open water skills, advanced open water skills and rescue skills will be conducted. Use of lift bags, rescue scenarios, navigation, buoyancy and basic skills will be completed. Feel free to participate in all or some of the skills. Reservations required, please call the store to reserve your spot.

25$ registration fee + cost of rentals

Please meet us at KETTLE COVE 10/30 at 5pm for our Halloween night dive! Bring a knife, pumpkin and light!

HALLOWEEN PUMPKIN DIVE!!

Please join us for a community night dive to carve pumpkins! Arrive at Dyer Cove at 5pm with a small pumpkin, knife and flashlight! We will begin by carving our pumpkins then go for a dive to observe the night time critters! This dive is FREE to join, minus the cost of rentals. If rentals are needed, please stop by the store with plenty of time to spare to get fitted and check out.

UPCOMING COMMUNITY DIVES!!

September 23rd - Invasive Species Survey: meet at Kettle Cove at 3:00pm. This is our invasive species survey so we will begin with 30 minutes of tidepooling then get in the water for a 40-60 minute dive. If you need to rent gear, please stop at the shop before hand and grab it. Julie knows some of you will need to rent so make sure you arrive with plenty of time to spare

LOST FIN!

Scubapro Twin Jet size medium fin is lost. Last seen a Dyer Cove, Cape Elizabeth in the water. This fin floats so if you see it at the surface please return. There will be a blue piece of tape wrapped around the boot strap - pictured below.

POTENTIAL COMMUNITY SCIENCE DIVES

July 20 meet at shop at 3:15, get to Willard Beach by 3:35 and in the water by 4. This is our eelgrass survey dive. We will be collecting data on a 100 foot transect using quadrats every 10 feet, should take about 40-60 minutes. One of our temperature loggers got pulled out from the ground so a small group of you will be tasked to place it back in the ground. If you do not need gear or want to meet us at Willard Beach that is fine, just get there by 3:30. Parking can be tricky so be aware of that. If you need to rent gear, please stop at the shop beforehand and grab it. Julie knows some of you will need to rent so make sure you arrive with plenty of time to spare.
