Mushin Hapkido NorthWest Hapkido is the Korean art of self defense.

It incorporates the joint locks and throws of Japanese Jujitsu, the hard strikes of Kenpo and the powerful kicks of Traditional Taekwon-Do.

Hope everyone had a great Easter weekend, however it's time to get back training. This Sunday is "People's Choice" at Hapkido. You choose what you'd like to learn about; escape a strangle hold, defend against a haymaker punch, fight off a stabbing, or whatever you decide. Look forward to seeing you Sunday at 2pm.

Our Hapkido program is designed based on two unique paths. For existing Kim's black belts, you have the choice of studying Hapkido as a stand alone Martial Art with set curriculum and tests. The ultimate goal with this path is a black belt. The other path is training in Hapkido to enhance your current self defense abilities. This path only focuses on the self defense aspect of Hapkido with no tests and no set curriculum. Think of it as an ongoing self defense seminar.

New students to Kim's will however be tough Hapkido as a complete Martial Art.

I hope this clears up any confusion for our current Kim's students.

And be sure to come by on Sunday for some knife defense skills to add to your "tool box".
