PSB's Junior Division helps students ages 7-11 built the strength and understanding necessary for long-term success as both a dancer and well-rounded individual through weekly ballet classes. In addition, performing and learning how to perform are a big part of ballet education! All Junior Division dancers have the option to participate in Portland Ballet’s a Victorian Nutcracker, Building Ballets, and the Year End Showcase.

Intermediate

It is hard to believe the Summer is winding down and classes are starting soon! Portland School of Ballet's first day of classes is September 8. ✻ Young Dancer Division (Ages 3-7): Introduce your child to music, movement, and rhythm in a fun and nurturing setting

✻ Junior Division (Ages 7-11): Structured levels for developing proper ballet technique, strength, and artistry

✻ Senior Division (Ages 11+): Ballet, pointe & pre-pointe, jazz, contemporary, character dance, and performance opportunities designed for strong technical and artistic training

✻ Community Division (All Ages): Ballet Essentials, Open Classes, Baby & Me, Free Community Ballet, and more!

Get in the Halloween spirit with Portland School of Ballet at Thrills & Chills, a family-friendly morning of Halloween-inspired ballet pieces featuring the students of Portland School of Ballet’s Senior Division and Pre-Professional Division. Dances are combined with seasonal music for a performance that is lively and ideal for all ages.

Saturday, October 24 at 10:00am at Westbrook Performing Arts Center

✨ Calling all dancers 11-18! Join our Senior Division!

Whether you’re newer to serious dance training or already an experienced dancer, Portland Ballet’s Senior Division has a place for you. With a strong focus on both technique and artistry, Senior Division is designed to be rigorous and flexible. Dancers can participate in the full schedule or arrange a portion of the schedule with our office. Classes include:

🩰 Ballet Technique, Pointe & Pre-Pointe, Character Dance, Contemporary, and Jazz, as well as performance opportunities

🌟 Come see what Senior Division is all about!
Join us for our Open House this Saturday, August 22 at Portland Ballet:

10-10:30am: Placement Class, ages 11-18
10:30-11:30am: Adult/16+ Beginner Open Class
